Sniper Training?

Question

I do not want to go over seas, and i want sniper training, were can i have that done?

Do local police forces train select people for things like snipering?

I wanna be on like a swat sniper so i would be like on a building waiting for a shot... Where can i do this, what kind of schooling would i have to undrtake?

Don't worry about it. I can almost assure you you won't pass the psychological.

you'd have to first start off as a cop, which requires a degree in law enforcement, then it would probably help if you entered the reserves or something, maybe the navy.  Then return and be an officer for 5 years or so and mention the swat team to your supervising officer or maybe the commissioner.

Sniping is a very very rare job and is Rarely needed-demanded.  To become a member of a SWAT team you would have to be a police officer for a while FIRST almost all members of SWAT have been regular old officers.  A college degree would help too of any sort.  Anyway after you have been an officer for X number of years depending on your city you could apply for becoming a SWAT and tell them you would like some position on the team as sniper.  You don't start out at the top you work up!!

Look up a place called Thunder Ranch. Another one is done by a company called Black Water.

First and foremost you have to show that you have excellent marksmanship skills no matter what. In the Military, you can put in for it, provided you have excellent marksmanship skills. but keep in mind that the washout rate is 50% or greater.  

Like someone else said, you don't start at the top and walk into the position because you want to do it. You work up to it, Law Enforcement or Military.

It is a position that is both physically and psychologically demanding. And very few are capable of handling it. Think about it for a minute, you have to be ready and able to kill at a moment's notice without hesitation and not be a Sociopath at the same time.

u would have to go into the police force and work ur way into swat, from there u would probably choose a dept. to go into
