  1. 1. Learn to shoot straight by practicing with proper technique.

    2. Improve on difficult shots by shooting them more often, even if it means passing up a more comfortable shot.

    3. Work on cue ball control.  If you don't have that, you'll quickly peak out and continue to get beat.

    4. Shoot games with knowledgable, friendly players.  You'll see how other people use different strategies, english, etc.  I've seen 75 year old shooters who offer great advice while they kick my butt.

    5. Seek to improve your knowledge thru research.  Books, the Internet, videos of professional matches, etc. can offer up a world of knowledge.

Don't try to do too much too soon.  First learn to be fundamentally sound, and you will keep getting better as you continue to play.  And please keep a good attitude!  Snooker and pool is meant to be fun!

  2. only way to improve is to practice

  3. ALWAYS keep at least one foot on the floor.

  4. Go to your local club, find a good player, ask them for a game, ask them for advice. They will see what you are doing wrong, if anything, and will be best placed to advise you.

  5. loads of practice......

  6. Play more.....

  7. only tips i can think of , keep your head still while cueing , look straight down the length of your cue, and keep shots simple and most importantly hit the cue ball exactly where you want, just slightly off course and you will create side, top,s***w when you dont want it

  8. Firstly a good solid cue and tip are essential. Natural talent has a huge part to play to. Basically, to improve your game play and learn from players who are better than yourself. If you don't know how already, you'll need to be able to control the cue ball. You'll have to learn how to s***w back(hitting the bottom of the white), topspin(hitting the top of the white) putting side on the white and of course potting balls. To get the most out of playing snooker to a high standard, you'll have to put plenty of practice in to. Stick at it. This is a very enjoyable and addictive games when you start hitting high breaks. Hope this answer helps.
