Euro players tour championship (event two) – Also known as the 2010 Brugge open, the event took place between 30th September and 3rd October in the city of Bruges, Belgium. The winner of this minor-ranking event was
Shaun Murphy, who won 4-2 in the final against Matthew Couch.
Star Xing Pai players tour championship (event five) – A consecution to the ‘star Xing Pai’ series of tournaments. The Event was fifth out of the six series; it took place from 7th to 10th October 2010. This minor-ranking
snooker series was held at the World snooker academy, Sheffield, England. Winner of the fifth event in the series was Chinese world-number-four Ding Junhui, who defeated Jamie Jones 4-1 in the final match.

Star Xing Pai players tour championship (event six) – The sixth and the last event of the series was held between 14th and 17th October this year at the same venue. However, Dominic Dale claimed the victory this time after
defeating Martin Gould 4-3 in the final match.
Euro players tour championship (event three) – Also known as the 2010 “Russelsheim cup”, this minor-ranking event took place between 22nd and 24th October in Russelsheim, Germany. Marcus Campbell won this event by defeating
Liang Wenbo 4-0 in the final match.
Euro players tour championship (event four) – The event was named the 2010 “MIUS cup” and it was held in South-west snooker academy, Gloucester, England. The tournament was supposed to be held in Offenburg, Germany with the name of Ortenau
cup, but due to poor ticket sale the venue and title of the cup was changed. Stephen Lee and Stephen Maguire played the final but it was Lee who prevailed by winning the match with a score-line of 4-2.
Power Snooker – It was doubtlessly the most interesting tournament of the year 2010, as its format was entirely different and much more aggressive in nature. This event took place for the first time in the O2
sports arena, London, England in July. Power snooker is for snooker as Twenty20 is for cricket; it is designed to be more rapid and exciting.
 With only nine red balls, the time for each match is 30 minutes. The balls are re-racked after each frame until the time finishes, player with highest score after 30-minutes of play is the winner.
None other than the ‘Rocket’ Ronnie O’Sullivan, can be more compatible with this kind of format. World-number-nine Ronnie who is famous for his glistening potting style won this incipient tournament, with a score of 572 Ronnie claimed the victory against
Ding Junhui.
Wyldecrest park homes world senior’s championship – 2010 world senior’s championship was held at Cedar court hotel, Bradford England. The non-ranking event took place between 5th and 7th November. Jimmy White the local
favourite won over the legendary Steve Davis in the final match with a score-line of 4-1.
Euro players tour championship (event five) – Also known as the “2010 Ruhr championship” it was the fifth match in the sequential European series. The event was held from 12th to 14th November in Hamm, Germany. John
Higgins won a 4-2 final against Shaun Murphy.
Euro players tour championship (event six) – The sixth event in the chain of series was named “2010 Prague classic”. The event was held in Prague, Czech Republic between 19th and 21st October. Michael Holt won the final
against John Higgins with a score-line of 4-3.
12BET.com UK Championship – The second highly-ranked tournament after world championship was held at the International centre, Telford. The event took place between 4th and 12th December.
It was an interesting and exciting tournament, with many upsets and delirious matches. John Higgins after his return from the ban lifted the trophy after beating Mark Williams in the sensational and breath-taking final frame of the match.  
Higgins controversy – ‘The wizard of Wishaw’ now world-number-one John Higgins was accused of influencing the outcome of snooker matches in exchange for money. The United Kingdom based news paper ‘news of the world’ leaked this information;
as a result, Higgins was immediately suspended from international competitions. The ban imposed by WPBSA in May was uplifted in September 2010, after finding Higgins not guilty.
The year is on its verge to expire and expire it must, giving way to a new dewy year. 2011 will start with “The Master’s”, which will take place in January at Wembley arena, England.
