Question:

Snoring during surgery?

I am getting my wisdom teeth out in a week, and I am actually kind of nervous about it. Of course I plan on getting put out for the procedure, but I am concerned about snoring. I know, it seems like that should be the least of my problems, but I can deal with pain. So if I snore regularly at night, will I snore during the surgery? It would be great if you could answer my question, and maybe give me some comforting words.

  1. absolutely not. I don't think you would snore because your nose will be the only open passage for breathing (of course the mouth will be open but will be being operated on anyway). The procedure is not very painful and you would think. I actually got mine removed before it even grew out of my jaws as the doctor saw that they would come out completely wrong. I did not have any problems except that your cheek would be swollen and until the stitches are removed you will not be able to open your mouth very wide. But, there's no reason to worry as much as you are I think.
