Snorkeling in Mexico right from the beach?

Hi, We are looking for a spot in Mexico where we can stay and snorkel right from the beach- we would like to rent a place within walking distance from the snorkel beach.

Any suggestions? I don't want to take a snorkel tour - just some daily fun.

Puerta Moreles is great for snorkeling! It has the worlds second largest barrier reef! I went snorkeling there and it was amazing! Its a National Park so you need to buy a wrist band, wear a life jacket and not wear suntan lotion because the oils are bad for the reef. The wrist bands cost 20 pesos and is good for a week. Have fun!
