Snow Fairy and So you Think to contest ten others at the Qipco Champion Stakes at the Ascot
With the Qipco Champion Stakes at the brink of beginning there is hardly any trainer who is doubtful about his horse being the one to win the race with Ed Dunlop already announcing Snow Fairy as the Champion for the Stakes. According to A P O’Brien his ‘glory
of the Arc’, So You Think will glorify the Qipco Champion Stakes this time.
Even though the Arc could not last long due to the severe weather conditions, connections of many participants who are now also prepared for the Ascot, could judge to quite an extent the performance level that the horses will be able to deliver on the track
that they are now on for.
Snow Fairy is one of those contestants for the Qipco Champion Stakes who was there to attend the short ‘lived’ Arc event. It was during the Ayr that he confronted So You Think, with Snow Fairy securing the third position and So You Think being positioned
fourth. This race was held on 2nd of October.
With Frankie Dettori onboard, Snow Fairy held back on her speed by the midfield then raced with the rest of the lot for over three furlong out. For the next furlong, Snow Fairy very successfully left competition struggling behind her and went headway. She
kept with the maintained pace during the final furlong and then finished third.
So You Think was the ride of Seamie Heffernan at the Arc in the same race. The pair held up, not gearing up in the initial stages of the race but they did push forward and went headway for the next two furlongs. He went well through the final furlong and
ended fourth after the winner of the race, Danedream.
"She came out of the Arc amazingly well and within four or five days she had put all her weight back on, plus a bit more”, said the trainer.
"I see they make So You Think favourite and we beat him last time and he beat us the time before. All the opposition must be respected and it's great to have such a good turnout for the race on the inaugural Champions Day”.
With all the positivity that Ed Dunlop is projecting there is very less that might bother Snow Fairy to deter in the tracks when racing at the Ascot.
