  1. Im no expert but i think for a first timer i would go on skis. If you get used to snowblades at first, you will be to scared to go faster on skis

  2. Blades are probably easier, but they are super slow compared to skis.

  3. Snow blades are shorter, and therefore are easier to turn and maneuver than full length skis.  However, if you have never skied before, it could be just as hard to learn snow blading as it is to learn how to ski.  But overall, snow blades are easier at low speeds (at high speeds it can be easy to lose control).

  4. To start out I'd get on skis.  They are easier to balance on.  And easier to maintain control of.

And how is it easier to break your arm on skis?  There is probably no difference.  If anything it's easier to break an arm on blades since there is a loss of balance.

  5. get blades if you like park skiing

  6. If you want to look like a tool, go for the snow blades. If not, learn to ski like it was meant to be learned. On skis.

  7. Snow blades are for sure easier. I work at a ski shop and I recommend snow blades to all beginners that want to have a good time on the slopes but have limited time to learn and limited experience. They are easier to turn and maneuver but also they are easier to get around while waiting in the lift lines. You can't go wrong with snow blades. As far as the roller blading comparision, it will be harder for you to break your arm on snow blades. You would break your arm skiing before you broke it snow blading.

  8. I only find snow blades easier because I have skied before! still means they are easier, but the shortened length means yes it stops you catching edges, crossing skies and getting in awkward situations on ski ques, but it also means if you get your weight just slightly too far back, you are going to be on your ****.!

If you have not done anything like skiing or snow blading before, and do not intend to go again, use snow blades, but, if you are planning on going a lot, seriously learn to ski, because if you can ski well, you can easily snow blade, but not vice versa
