  1. Snowfall in Queensland is an oxymoron.

It's very rare, and the snow melts as soon as it hits the ground.

I've seen it "snow" in both Stanthorpe and in the hills just outside Oakey.

  2. Queensland stretches from the sub-tropics in the south almost to the Equator. Stanthorpe on the Granite Belt in the extreme south of the state occasionally has a very light snowfall , but only ever on 1 or 2 days in a year and it always melts within a few hours. I've lived in Brisbane all my life and have never seen snow.

  3. It doesn't snow in QLD

  4. once in a blue moon

  5. average snow fall in Queensland is 0.000000001% of the world total

  6. i think it snows in stanthorpe one day every year.

  7. none that I know of

  8. Snow in Stanthorpe and Warwick  - that region is not unheard of.  According to local legend, there was snow in Springsure in the late 1940s one day.  Springsure is about 70km south of the Tropic of Capricorn.
