Snow mobile question?

I'm writing a script that has a snow mobile in it and I have a few questions about them. (PS the story takes place in 1963)

1) do they have an automatic shut off thing like jet skis for when you fall off

2) how many miles can one travel on a full tank and what is it like going up hill on one

3) if it were to run out of gas at the top of a steep mountain of snow would it slide or would it sit

the older ones dont have the shut off cord when u fall but all new ones do

they can go about 100 miles on one tank and going up hill is just like riding a jet ski but going upwards

if one ran out of gass it would lide down until it hit a tree and stopped but if u put the parkjing brake on it would stay

First off snowmobile is one word, and second snowmoblies do not have parking brakes, it would slide down only if the hill was steep enough, when they are off it takes a lot to get them rolling because when the track moves everything does right down to the pistons in the engine
