Snow outwear, Aussie question.?

Hi All,

I was just wondering if anyone has any tips as to where I could find affordable snow wear in Sydney (or a aussie online store). I just cant afford $500 for a jacket I will wear once a season!

Have you tried outdoor shops like Paddy Pallin, Mountain Designs, Mountain Equipment or Kathmandu, and others clustered in Kent St behind the Town Hall and on the corner with Bathurst St?  They will not be fashion brands but will have good effective gear at a lower price.

Most of them have an online store but spend a couple of hours having a look at what is available and trying stuff on.
