Question:

Snowboad Size- Help!?

I think I may need a new snowboard. I got a pretty good one 2 years ago, but i think it may be too short. It is a burton140 punch(http://img233.imageshack.us/my.php?image=e3483vy4.jpg) {I bought it used}. I'm approx. 5'8 and 116 lbs. Ive looked on websites, and they say your board should come up to your chin, whereas mine comes to the bottom part of my shoulder. I just free ride(I'm just an advanced beginner you might say) with a few jumps and 180's here and there if I'm lucky. Should I invest in getting a new board or be happy with what I have. And if i don need a new one, any suggestions on what type would be appriceated-Also , would i need new bearings?

  1. It really all depends on your riding. From what youv'e just told me i would look into getting a new board.  If you do not have the money or do not feel that you will be going this season then just suck it up for this season.  As for a new board size i recomend 149cm-152cm.  No bigger no smaller.  I am about same size and weight have that size board and it rides great.
