Question:

Snowboad size?

Im 5 foot tall and riding a 144 board...is it too big of a board for my height? i have used the board a few times and seem to have good control of it...

I don't know who told you that height has something to do with it.  Snowboard size has everything to do with weight.  If you weigh between 110 and 130 you are on a pretty good size board for you.  Longer boards will go faster though and shorter boards are better for freestyle.  So it depends on what you are looking for.


  2. I'm 5'6 and ride a 146, which is on the short end of what is the recommended range for me but I like it for how it turns.

    If you have good control of it that's awesome.  It's a fine length if you're mostly just doing downhill (or free ride) riding.  If you're looking to get into park riding you would probably want to find something shorter.

    The usual range that snowboard fitters recommend is from your collarbones to your nose when you stand the board up next to you but you should also take your weight in as a factor.  If you're 5' and super skinny then people might say that the board is too long, but again since you say you have control then it fits!
