Question:

Snowboard Boot Selection Help - Part 2?

I've continued trying on a lot of boots this past weekend. Out of seventeen boots that I've tried up to today, only the Burton Ruler, Burton White Collection, Nitro Barrage, Nitro Team, and Nitro Darkseid have fit well and comfortably. However, none of the boots I tried included any of the K2, Salomon, Northwave, nor Vans models. Can someone comment about these brands - in particular, how they fit in comparison to the Burtons and Nitros that seem to fit me well? I'm especially interested in the K2 T1 and the Salomon F20/22/24.

All of the ThirtyTwo boots were too wide. I have narrower and overall smaller feet, especially at the heels. The two Burtons I listed above fit the best while the three Nitros fit well, but slightly less well than the Burtons. Thanks for the help!

  1. I have the same problem as you i have a narrow feet and slim ish heels. Ive tryed Thirtys twos on many times but i always get heel lift in them which is a shame as they make a really good quality boot. You might find that some Vans are ok they tend to make widish boots generally, but some of there recent boots have been a bit of a narrower fit so they are worth a try. You should definately try Salomon and Northwave if you have narrow feet as they tend to be the brands that fit the best for that type of foot shape, also Rome make quite a slim boot. Im not sure on K2 what the widths of there boots are like but they are worth trying if you can get hold of a pair, Good Luck.

  2. If you find a pair that fits, just buy them. If your willing to spend however much money it cost, just get the ones that fit WELL.

  3. if the burton boots fit you best then get them. burton makes really good boots. if you want really easy boots to put on and to lace then get the burton ruler boots. they have speed zone lacing which are really fast and good quality. i have some burton boots with speed zone lacing there great. the burton whites look nice too but the laces will take alittle longer to get on. either way i think if you go with burton you'll be satisfied.
