Snowboard Box help?

What kind of material should i put on the top of a snowboard box to make it slick? and that isnt overly expensive.

i have heard of plexiglass, high density polyethylene, Fiber glass resin, and high resin plastic....

so yea any ideas for the top of a snowboard box to make it slick?

  1. Plex is too hard and too brittle, the best stuff to use is High-density polyethylene (HDPE) - it can take more abuse and your edges can actually bite into it a little bit which gives you some control. If you can't find any at a plastic store, you may be able to get "composite" decking boards that are made of mostly HDPE at home stores - not as good as 100% HDPE, but much cheaper.

  2. Best bang for your buck is Hockey board. Assuming you have an arena near you, go there and ask if they have any hockey board laying around and see if you can take it off there hands for a small amount or even free. This stuff works amazingly well as it is made for the puck to slide easy against it.

  3. use lexan. most of the major resorts use in their parks and its pretty cheap.

  4. puck board is definately the way to go it is cheap an lasts the longest but dont use anything with wood in it
