I built a snowboard box and was wondering what to put on top...I ws thinking lexan would be good but i read some other answered questions and alot of the answers said that your edges on the board would stick into the lexan when boardsliding or spinning and the lexan would chip? Is this true and if it is what should I use instead that isn't too expensive.

  1. use lexan. its cheap and super durable. also it is what most resorts use in their parks. as for catching that is if you dont have metal edges on the box. also ive never ever seen it chip.

  2. Go to your local hockey arena and ask if they have any scraps of "hockey board" as we call it down here. It's the lamanent they use on the boards on the rink so the puck slides. Usually rinks have big pieces of them lying around so I wouldn't be suprised if you could get your hands on some.

  3. HDPE or High-density polyethylene (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDPE) is the right stuff to use... I don't know how much it costs.
