Question:

Snowboard Ramp Plans?

Okay, so I'm building a little backyard park type thing. I need a ramp to get speed off of and I'm probably gonna put a rail at the end so I need enough speed for rails. I have no clue what dimensions or anything or even how to build one. I'm sure I could figure out how I just need dimensions. My yard isn't THAT big so I need something somewhat smaller. So maybe steeper would be better. I was thinking like 8 feet tall, 8 feet long which means a 45 degree angle. But I have no idea. Anyone help?

  1. Last season i built a drop in ramp from a table and a bench topped with a bunch of snow. It was about 5 feet tall and was roughly 4-5 feet long at the base. that was just the right amount of speed to do a 2ft high box roughly 6ft from the ramp. 8ft seems like a good amount, with 5 feet i still wish i had a lot more speed.

it's pretty vague but i hope it helps.
