so here's the deal- i'm 14 and have been snowboarding for 6 years; im buyin a new board, the burton custom wide, and had some questions on bindings- i like the features of the k2 cinch, but i'm worried they wont fit my boot (size 15 burton motos), so here's the question-

1. Can they fit my boot, and

2. Can i use burton capstraps with those bindings?

  1. wow this is really wierd. im also 14, ride a custom wide and have huge feet (size 14 boots). Unfortunately k2 bindings dont fit burton boards, you have to have burton bindings. i have burton mission bindings and i love them. theyre cheap (i got mine for $100), they ride awesome, and the large size will fit large boots if you lengthen the straps a little bit.

  2. You DO NOT need Burton binders to ride a Burton board.  Just get the baseplates.  The bindings should come with them, or just ask K2 for a set.  Boardshops also carry them.

I'm not positive if they'll fit your boot, but they have CTX's in XL.  The only way to be sure is to go to a shop and try it.

And as far as I know, no, you can't use a Burton capstrap w/ K2's.  It may be possible to rig them though...

But you should still go to a shop and check them out.  I heard that it was either the CTX's or the Autos that, "...feel like a lead brick..."  So I'm not sure if it sitll looks to enticing.  Just go to a shop and check it out.
