  1. I bought a Burton Canyon board and hooked it up with some Burton Mission bindings.  They are sweet bindings, plus they should be affordable if you can find them on sale at your local ski shop.  I got mine last year for 30% off.

If the missions are out of your range, Burton Customs are good too

  2. MIX IT UP!  Burton bindings are good, baseplates are plastic, so they flex. Ride has awesome bindings made of aluminum, and parts are easy to come by. Comfy too. Most of the brands of various snowboard accessories have teams of paid snowboarders. Keep that in mind when you start forkin all your cash towards the Burton Giant. I'm not saying they don't have the best gear. I'm saying It's cool to help the little guy too.

  3. I would suggest at least getting the Burton bindings just cause they would be the most compatible with the board's bolting arrangement. Buy the best boots that are the most comfortable feet your feet and your wallet regardless of the brand.

  4. Mix it up... especially for the boots - you want to get the best fit for your dollar so try a lot on.  Also, there are lots of great binding manufacturers out there and you can get a better deal by shopping different brands.

  5. I mix mine up. Different types give different results. Its your opinion on how well you ride your snowboard and stuff.
