Snowboard box? PLEASEEEE ANSWER!?

hey, im biuldin a snowboard box, 10' long and bout 8" wide, i wanna put metal edges on it so i wont catch my snowboard edge on it, how wide of metal edges should i put on the side of my box?

  1. seems like a pretty narrow box, so i guess about 2" on each side.
