i am 5'5" and weigh 116lbs...currently ride a 154 and love it. should i stay with a similar length? some people have tried to tell me that 154 is too large for me.

i ride all terrain (lots of power conditions) and skip out on the park nonsense so i need a board thats light and manoverable in any situation. any ideas on what brands/models to check out?

thx!:)

  1. As a rule of thumb, the snowboard should be about the same length as the height of your chin.

  2. Board should be shoulder to chin in height.

I own a Salomon Regulate and its perfect in power.  It's a great all around board.  Hovers over power and steers great.

  3. well your height and weight is about like mine im in highschool and at my mountain im on the snowboarding freestyle team so i know alot about i may be young but trust me on i ride alot of like terrain park and also back country and i suggest to always get a board thats a little small on you not like crzy tiny but like how the other person said go by your chin height well go by like your arm pit height. lol it sounds crazy but i personally think  154 is alittle big for your height and weight so i would recommend a little smaller maybe a 151 or so and it allows more board control. i personally love my RIDE snowboard. ride is a great company or of course go with burton both make killer snowboards. GNU is also good.
