Question:

Snowboard for me?

I'm begining at snowboarding but I already skate and I've heard that makes learning easier but I'm not sure if I really want to get into snowboarding so much because I just want to be good enough to film and ride at the same time, and I guess my question is would I be better off with a full sized board, or could I wing it on a mini? Because right now I'm leaning toward the mini and I think it would be great for what I'm up to, but any advice from any boarders out there will not fall upon deaf ears..

  1. Don't buy anything yet!!!  RENT a snowboard for your size and weight at your local ski area.  Take a half day snowboarding lesson, it is usually 2 hours.  Then go from there.  Hope that helps!!!

  2. To really learn to snowboard, you'll need a full snowboard. Buy a inexpensive one off Ebay or an off brand one. If you don't end up liking snowboarding, then you can sell it and know you didn't spend alot of money and may even get your money back.

  3. don't go with the mini, to be able to get to the level of filming, your going to want a regular size board.  skating helps, but the difference is snowboarding you keep your weight forward.  i recommend at least taking one lesson, it helps to get the basics down and makes the learning curve much easier.
