I have a 163cm wide snowboard right now, but i find it kinda stiff and hard to manuvre. I freeride down the hill on groomed trails. I'm thinking about getting a 158cm wide, do you guys think that it would be too short of an size for me? Does the 5cm actually make that much of a difference? I know its personal preference in the end, but id like to know what people think.

im 6'3, 190 pounds size 12 boot, brown eyes, dark hair, uh wait this isnt a personal.

  1. It my not sound like a lot, but 5cm is actually a huge difference on a snowboard. If you go that small from being that large, your first few trips out you are gonna be falling everywhere. I'd suggest just taking 1 or 2cm thinner board. Trust me, you'll feel the difference.

  2. 160-165 is a good size for you and the ride is a really good choice

  3. If you dont like the stiffness, get a softer board. 163 sounds about your size.
