Snowboard height?

i just got a snowboard and its up to my chin. im 5'5''. is this how tall it should be?

Height isn't the main factor. Depends what your riding style will be. Essentially, freestyle boards are usually smaller and don't go super fast and freeride boards are longer, but are harder to maneuver. i'm 5'4" and i have a 146cm board now and its good for all mountain riding.

Well, my board is up to my chin, and it is a bit hard for me to turn, so a board slightly under the chin would be my recommendation.

yes that is the perfect height it should be between your nose and the middle of your neck

Having a board up to you chin is what's recomended, longer boards are for going faster and shorter boards are for more technical stuff.
