I got a Burton snowboard for free at a yard sale! Its very nice looking and I want to sell it on ebay. What information do I have to include?

It has the foot things and everything. They have a 13 on each and so does the board. Its all black and sais "Air" on it. It also has a 6 with a little dot next to it with a 1 on top. It also sais this...

"This is a N.A.S.A. board. This means not all stances available. (No its not made of some space age material.) You cannot use inserts that are filled, and you must use 3 inserts per binding. All 3-D bindings must use 3 screws per binding. If you *blah blah* live with, your all set"

And its Wood Core, made in Canada

  1. Generally, it's best to include as much information as you can.

Do you know what kind of Burton board it is? (eg. Vapor, Clash, Fish etc).

Is it a mens or womens board? Do you know?

Be sure to include the size (length) - most boards have this printed right on them.

Most snowboarders know that Burton has a 3-hole pattern, so you don't need to go into too much info on that.

p.s. the foot things are called bindings

  2. From the information it sounds like it is a Burton Air snowboard.  The Air is a freestyle board that is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

You need to measure the board and give the length in centimeters and the waist width in millimeters.  You should also include the size of the bindings.  It's probably on the bottom of the binding.

The 13 on the board and bindings may indicate that it was a rental board at a resort.

The NASA indication is for compatibility of the board and bindings.  Burton uses a 3 hole binding mount  (3-D) whereas the rest of the manufacturers use a 4 hole mount (4x4).

If you e-mail the serial number of the board to Burton, they might be able to tell you when the board was made.
