  1. First answer is great, but I have something to add. People usually have problems being too far forward or too far back.

For a normal table top jump, make sure that when you reach the top you have your weight centered over the board. If there is a lip at the top that will throw you back, put your weight more forward. If you are the first board to blast through a lip or some powder on a jump that will slow you down when you hit it, put your weight more to the back.

    Good Luck

  2. First, make sure you approach the jump with enough speed to clear the gap or table-top, but not too much because then you'll overshoot the landing.

Next, make sure when you hit the lip of the jump that you're flat-based.  Hitting on an edge can really s***w you up and cause you to not be centered over your board(unless you're trying to do so like with a corked spin).

When you're in the air, you can try a grab because it can help you stay stable. Make sure you stay centered over you're board in the air. Always be looking at your landing. Don't look down or at your board. Concentrate on the landing.

When you land, make sure you stomp it with a flat base again, and then ride away clean.

Start out on smaller jumps and work your way up. Not much changes with bigger jumps. You just gotta approach with more speed.

    Good luck.
