Question:

Snowboard.. lots of questions?

ok im like 5 ' 6" - like 5' 8".. I weigh about 190 lbs and have zero experience snowboarding.. any recomendations. . i really want to buy a used board and bindings and boots but if i have to iw ill just buy a used board on the internet then go to a shop for the bindings and boots but i do wear size 11 nikes and adidas shell-toes and size 11 adios.. so what size boots do you think.. i know i should probably get large bindings .. im going to snowboard in newmexico

  1. as far as boots it's good to get something about half a size bigger, but i would say your best bet is go to a shop and try some on.  actually it's just best to go to a shop for everything.  as far as a brand, you don't have to go with burton unless you feel the need to spend the extra dough.  k2 is a good brand for beginner's and it's much cheaper.  and make sure you buy your equipment near the beginning of the summer, as that's when prices tend to be cheapest.  the size of your board will be based on what you plan on using it for.  hope that helps a little.


  2. im not to sure on the boots and binding thing but i am about 5'8 and i have a 153 demo board that i bought in co for about $150

    burton is a good brand but kinda pricey but for beginner i would say k2 or burton  if that helps eany
