hey there,i just got accros you're question.I'm 16.The first time when i went to the mountains i tryed skiing and my dad teached me.I learned pretty hard.The next year i got better and i could come down a slope with no falling and moderate speed.since then i tryed skateboarding.Now this year i sayed that i dhoul try to snowboard cuz a lot of my skater-friends sayed it was !wiked!.The first time on the board is frustrating a bit,but after a few descends i knew i am a natural.The feeling is much more intense than skiing,and i think you'll learn the ballance faster.Trust me after the first day of snowboard with no teacher at all,i managed to snowboard very well.I think skateboarding helped me.You shoul try both sports and decide what is best for you.Cheers!

I think you should do snowboard because skiing is more dangerous than snowboarding and skiing you might break a leg or twist your ankle.

when beginning, i think its best to ski. its a lot easier because u have a lot more balance. its definitely fun especially when starting because u can actually ski down a slope, while when snowboarding it takes time to actually stand up and go like three meters for most people. dont u want to have fun out there?

Are you asking what we do or what you should do?

If you're going up for one day and you've never done either then skiing is easiest to get the hang of quickly and spend the day doing runs.

If you're going up for longer than a day you might want to try boarding.  You probably won't make it down a whole run without falling over the first day (or two) but toward the end of your vacation you'll have the hang of it.

Skiing is much easier to pick up and get to a beginner stage quickly but is harder to master than snowboarding.  Snowboarding takes longer to get to a beginner stage but from there it's much faster to get to advanced levels.
