Snowboard question?

Ok, i snowboard but I'm not that good. usually i just go with my sister. Anyway today someone asked me, "do you shred?" what does that mean?

If you can shred it means you're not falling over every 15 seconds and you might actually have some skillz.  It's pretty open ended.

Do you shred, is another way of asking do you tear up the terrain? Doesn't really matter what kinda terrain, it could be pipes, powder, jibs/streets or parks. I dont quite know what the absolute definition of it is but this is what I know by experience.

It just means are you good pretty much.

it means do you snowboard well.

Basically shredding means being good a snowboarding.

Example: "Hey man I just shredded that bowl on the the Triple Nickel.

Normal terms: "hey man I did really good in that bowl on the triple nickel"

My analogy may sound funny but that is basically what it means.
