Question:

Snowboard question ?

im bying a snowboard ...what size and length and type and all that stuff... do i need and whats a recomended brand ?

* im 125 lbs

*im 4 foot 10 .......(i know im short for my age)

*my shoe size is a size 6

*my foot is aproximitly 8 inches (heel to toe)

  2. if your a beginner try to get a board thats the height of between your nose and chin

  3. Since you're a beginner and still growing I'd stick with renting for a while.  You could buy some boots so that you don't have to use communal boots, but you're going to grow out of a board so fast it's not really worth it.

    If you're dead set on buying a board get something cheap.  Any old brand will do for you to learn on because very quickly you'll be an intermediate rider and will be ready to buy a better, more responsive board.

    If you feel ready to buy an intermediate board look for something that's about nose height so that you can start with it a bit large and ride it for a few seasons, rather than just one.  Try checking out Lib Tech, Gnu, Forum, Option, Ride... so many good brands out there.  You might even be able to ride a kids board for a season or two more and that'll definitely save some cash.

  4. I think you should get a burton for your first board. Get a board that comes between your chin and forehead.
