  1. 5'7 and you want to ride a 143?  I think that might be a little too short, the 146 would be good.  You do realize that this is mainly a park board too right?  Boot footprint varies slightly among model and brands, but for the most part, it's not that big of a deal.  For example, I've heard that DC boots are really comfortable, but cost a lot and leave a slightly larger footprint.  While I think Burton had a boot that was specifically made to have a smaller print.  Size eight womens should be okay on a reg waisted board.

  2. try a 144. check out morrow board and for the boots, always get a bigger size than ur shoe size especially if you are going to wear thick socks. I am 5' 8" and i rode a morrow 144.  it also depends on what u are comfortable with.

research different board materials and find out what kind of snowboarding u will do.  choose your board off of that.

morrow and k2 are basically the same division, and they have great boards.

also, dont always choose your board for the cool design on it, choose it because it is the right size and is designed for the exact type of boarding u will do. (a cool design is a plus tho! :))

    good luck and have fun!!!

  3. For a park board a 148 would work great for you.  I think with your height the 143 would be way to small and squirrelly.  I am 5'7 128 riding a 149 Detail and a 147 Suerte in the park.  My Pow deck is a 154, just to give you an idea…

As far as boots, it really does depend.  Burtons I downsize a full boot in the old emeralds but only half in the Irocs, 32’s a half boot size…

  4. I dont no what style of riding that your doing but i think you want a little bit bigger board probably around 150 at your chin  and 156 at your nose if your are 5 -7 because im 5-8 and me board is about an inch below my nose and it is 158.

If you are still growing i would get the 152 one. if you have totally stopped growing and are sure of it you could probably get away with the 148 if u like the way it looks better but if u like the 152, then deffinatly go with that one

  5. Things you didn't mention:

Are you still growing? If so, a little longer board will suit you as you grow and get better.

Where do you like to ride? A shorter board in the park, longer for "All Mountain". Unless you are a die hard freestyle rider, I would suggest the 148.
