im going snowboarding in a week, and it'l be my first time going and getting lessons. before i go i want to be prepared. what are some good excersizes to do prior to going snowboarding? i have been practicing balance on a skateboard with a loosened chasis, working on heelside and toeside. i also wakeboard in the summer, and ive heard that helps with snowboarding. anything else i need to know before i go?

  1. Don't quit after the first day! A lot of people quit after the first day because they say that its to hard and because the day after their first day they probably cant move because they are hella sore from ridding and falling! If you know how to skateboard then you pretty much know how to snowboard. You just have to go out and practice at it!

  2. Be prepared to fall on ur ****.

  3. It is great that you are taking lessons: this is the most effective way to learn. In preparation you can work on your flexibility.  Do a lot of stretches but make sure you don't over-do it.  If you have not done stuff like this before seek the help of someone at a gym.  You core muscle strength and leg strength won't build significantly in one week, but these are things that you can work on in the long run.  It sounds like you are fit - just have fun with it!
