  1. ride is really good. :] buying end of season boards are always good because it's soooo much more cheaper. my board used to cost $700, but after the season ended it was only $400 :]

don't skimp out on boots, comfort is the number one thing for snowboard well. :]

    thirtytwos are awesome.(boots)

    burton bindings are good too.

  2. I know they all said burton is good. I would definitally NOT reccomend one. I myself had lots of problems with the burton i rode a few years ago, and i work in a snowboard shop, and the most amount of boards we get in that some one brought back for warrenty is burton.

I've riden rome for 2 years and have NOT had a single problem ever, and the bindings hold together much better than burton as well..

I'd reccommend checking out either the Rome Detail which is more of a park board, or the rome Blue which is more of an all around board, like park, powder, regular runs.

Just trust me on this, stay away from burton it might be a popular company but its not great products its just alot of hype about it.

  3. Don't listen to the Burton haters, Burton boards rarely have issues that others don't. gabetron, you say the shop you work in gets lots of boards brought back for warranty by Burton, but maybe that's because more people bought Burton than any other brand. A more accurate statistic would be to compare the amount of Burton boards bought and the ones brought back for warranty.

Anyway, I think the best idea would be to go to your local shop, and the people there will help you. They actually know what they are doing, unlike those people at d**k's Sporting Goods, or other big sports stores. I would advise you to not go with a cheap beginner's package, because the you will most likely out grow it in one season. Get something a bit more advanced.

  4. To properly answer your question, every company is different in its own way. There is something out there for everybody, it just depends on what exactly you are looking for. Most companies make comparable products for comparable prices, just with some slight tweaks. Everybody has their own brand preference, just like music preference or political preference, but that doesnt make one better than the other. I would recommend identifying your ability level and style of riding and going from there. 5. Burton is definately good, Ride, Rome, K2, Capita to name a few.  I'd say go to a boardshop for more help with what specific type and model to buy.

  6. burtin is cheap effin c**p made in china go to rome i have three i recomend the crail http://www.romesnowboards.com/product/bo...

but chose one best for you

  7. rome for board, burton for bindings, and 32 for boots

  8. burton is good

  9. burton is the best or dc.

  10. burton is good...yet slightly overpriced. you can get great boards from libtech, gnu, capita, arbor, sapien, k2, forum, ride, rome ....just to name a few. depends on whether you want a park board, powder board or all mountain board.

  11. burton, k2 and ride are all good

  12. definetly  Burton.

you can get last seasons designs for cheaper or second hand boards.

which usually have a tiny scratch on them that you can hardly see.

    :)
