  1. Check The House, Daddies Boardshop, Sierra Snowboard or Tightboards

  2. since your a begginer i woud say that go to ebay for cheap snowboards and other stuff. As for tips when buying a board make sure its your size, the top should be inbetween the top of your neck and you nose.

  3. The best place to go for beginner's is:

    http://www.boardsforless.com/lamlimltdsn...

They have some great 3 piece deals for a board, boots and bindings.

    Happy Boarding!!

  4. Borrow a friends old gear.

Or buy a used board and bindings.  Most girls never actually ride hard enough to kill the flex, so it is usually pretty safe to buy girls boards used.

Make sure the base is in decent shape, and that it bows in the middle.  If a board is completely flat against the floor, it means it is dead and you shouldn't buy it.

Also, there are great sales at the end of season.

  5. If you are low on money get a second hand entry level board and bindings set up. Most independant shops will sell secondhand equipment and you can check on places like e bay also for good deals. For boots you really need to buy them new go down your nearest shop that sells a large range of boots, and go with the ones that fit your feet the best.

If you are just beginning its best to have a couple of lessons with a instructor first, rather than trying to teach yourself or just taking advice off friends etc. Good luck with the riding.

  6. i started four years ago.

the best way to get started is to take lessons.

    it reaaaally helps.

look on used board places and stuff like craigslist

  7. well it all depends on how cheap you wanna go, if you dont plan on getting to much riding in for these next few months you could get a rental board and then at the end of the season go to a local snowboard shop and pick up all the stuff you want on clearence, if you want one now itll be hard to find a sale anywhere so you could look into some new companies that make good boards and cheap prices until they get there name out there. also dont go to big stores looking for discount stuff, theyll have cheap boards but theyll also fall apart on you a year later. again try going to a local snowboard shop, talking to the guys there and price the boards and see what suits your style. my two personal favorite companies are neversummer and sapient.

as far as learning, im a snowboard instuuctor at Elk mt. in pennsylvania so just try taking a couple of beginner lessons and once you get the hang of turning all you need to do is man up and start riding some more difficult terrain till you smoothen out your turns to nice sharp carves

  8. I started about three years ago.  The best way to get better is to find a friend who rides, or wants to ride.  Bring him with you to the peaks and ride.  Start off easy and by the end of the first day you will have really improved.  Even if you don't see immediate improvement don't give up.  When you get it down its allot of fun.  The cheapest stuff your probably gona find is used or 5150 and Lamar at d**k's Sporting Goods.

  9. Burton snowboard

    dc or osiris Boots

    Burton Bindings

    Arnette or spy goggles :D

    burton beanies are cute

and dc jackets are nice and warm and fluffy
