I can ski, but my first snowboarding lesson is in January, is there any one out there who can tell me what snowboarding is like, what to ecpect in my first lesson, and some tips? please?

Well, its really fun, trust me, its gonna be tough the first few tries, but don't give up, a lot of people do, and never experience the fun of snowboarding. Your first lesson? How to stop, how to make S turns, which is just making turns, going down the mountain, its really fun if you have friends to go with you, its fun either way. Some tips, just turn your hips to make the turns, put your weight to the back of your foot, and make a turn to stop, theres a site,

yea, they have everything, just look for the animated pictures on how to perform the stops and the turns, it helps.

hey good question, congradulations u are talking to a snowboarding physics geek. u should expect to fall just as if skiing, if u have attempted to wakeboard on water, it is that kind of sensation..

You will fall on your butt a lot so put a pillow in your snowboarding pants.
