  1. For about 5 years I couldn't get a 720, I don't know why but everytime i would fall and end up breaking a bone.  Then I would get that cast off and try it again and break another bone. And it went on like that for 5 years. Until one day i decided I would try to absorb the impact more with my ankles than me knees if that makes sense. It made all the difference in my big spins and tailgrabs, grinds, rails, etc.  It also got me sponsored by one of the biggest agencies.

  2. what really helped me was to get my body fit by doing good exercises that help my lower body alot wich helped me get better air

  3. stay low

  4. Practice! its all about getting up after you fall and trying again. One of the biggest things in snowboarding is commitment.  Commit to your tricks 100% of the time.  As for avoiding landing on your butt, keep your shoulders straight, maintain your balance in the air and bend your knees when you land to absorb your landing. Most importantly, have fun. If you're not having fun, why do it?

  5. I'm kind of in the same position as you, just learning to do spins and go off bigger jumps. I think some of the tips I've gotten and found useful may help you.

I just got my 360 down while riding a glacier this summer. What helped most was just repetition. I hiked the same jump all day and each time I'd get a little closer to spinning around all the way. Eventually with practice your body figures it out. But some tips I got that helped were: spinning your head in the direction you want to spin is very imporant, it should lead your body around. When I was close to making it someone told me to really "snap" hard as I launched into the spin, not sure if that makes complete sense but thinking about snapping the board around really hard gave me the exta push to land. To make sure you get around 360 at first it's helpful to think that you are aiming to spin more than 360 degrees and then you're more likely to complete the spin rather than falling just short because - when you completely rotate the landing is really easy.  It will feel really good you'll just stomp it and ride straight off. One thing that will make landing hard is if you point your shoulder down to the ground too much when you go to spin, which is common when people are learning to spin because they are just hucking themselves. Try to keep your body even so your nose doesn't plant in the snow. It creates some nasty falls.

As for landing bigger jumps, I have the same problem, mediumish jumps I can land, but when you get to the larger medium jumps or big jumps I have trouble. One thing that seems to be helping is that I just made my stance a little wider because it forces me to bend my knees more. I wasn't doing it enough before and the jump happens so fast I was having trouble thinking about the landing as it happened. A good piece of advice I got was think hard about the takeoff and the landing will come. If you pop off the jump properly and bring your knees up to your chest then you'll be in a good position to land and won't struggle so much with the landing.

Sorry for the long-winded answer, but being in a similar place I can relate to what you're dealing with. Good luck!
