Snowboarding? Would you go to Mt. High (CA)considering there was an avalanche last week and 3 guys died?

Does anyone know the details of this event? Was it out of bounds or something?

I've been skiing for many years and have never had an accident. Don't worry just be careful. Follow the rules and look out for others that don't. You should be ok. Trust yourself.

The avalanches and the people were all in out of bound areas. The ski slopes are safe. Southern CA is not normally known for avalanches, it was extreme weather conditions.

i live like 20 mins away from mt. high,and i heard all about that.

one guy worked at mt. high, and the others i guess where his friends, and yes they where like way out of bounds.

i'm still going snowboarding there.

Of course! Just watch your own butt and don't be risky. The place is safe.

Totally. That was way unusual -- had crazy storms last week. Besides, as long as you stay within designated areas you're fine. They've got a good staff.
