Check out Mountain Air Sports on lower State St. You can talk to people that actually know what they are talking about. Great shop.

Try mt.high.com.  They have tons of info.  I know their season is about to close, but they have an online forum where you can ask specific questions about their resort and snowboarding in general.  I've only been there once but it was a lot of fun and I plan to get one of their discount lift ticket packs next season.

I don't live in Santa Barbara, but try all your local sporting good stores.  Big 5, Sports Authority, Chicks, and other stores down here (Orange County) have lots of snowboard gear on clearance.
