Question:

Snowboarding goggles...which ones are the best?!?

So....I've been snowboarding a few times and have just worn regular sunglasses that I would throw on for a sunny day and they work fine .... except during falls when they would shift. I want to purchase some goggles to replace that and I am very confused as to which ones I should buy?

Should I be spending more $$$ to buy fancy mirrored lens, buying by brands such as Oakley, or should I just get something affordable/cheap like the Scott or Smith brands at the local Big 5 and sport stores?

I go snowboarding occasionally just to freeride so I don't go very often but I like the sport and plan to at least a few times per season. I would love any feedback, advice, or recommendations from snow lovers everywhere.....

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

....there is lots of fresh powder at Tahoe this week due to the storm....wish I was there! =)

  1. well, even if you go very rarely to snowboard, i would still buy the oakleys.  I have oakley goggles, and i only go every winter and spring.  they are so comfy!

  2. Have Anon Figment and love them...never fogged up and not as bulky (ugly IMO) as the Oakleys

  3. oakley because they look cool, but they might cost some money but most oakley's are impact proof

  4. I always ride my Anon Cypher. They're the best goggles I've ever worn; they never fog up and vent amazingly.

  5. I, personally don't got much money, and if your not a Hardcore snowboarder you might just want to get smith or scott. They are very cheap and work well for the price

If you dont like the cheap Scott's, it wouldn't be much of a waste of money, then you could just go buy some oakley's.

  6. theres all kinds of goggles to look for.

Anons: decent quality, nice lenses and i think they are fog-resistant. a good item, can be found cheap (aroun 65$)

oakleys: by far the best brand out there for goggles. they are very strong, durable and they have great lenses. i strongly reccomend these because they will last. are little more expensive, but the more expensive the better tint and the easier it is to see on sunny days.

it should be either anons or oakleys, the 2 best goggle brands.

i have personally never heard reviews on smith or scott, but they would probably be ok, but you should get better quality ones.

    good luck

  7. Oakley for sure. They look cool, and they are very protective. There even polarized to protect you from the sun. There also very customizable so you can decide what they look like if you buy online. If your looking for a less expensive goggle, good ol' smith goggles never let me down; I've used them for like four years now.
