I am going to Zurich and Gimmelwald/ Interlocken in May. Are there any ski resorts by those towns that would be boardable in May? Can you rent boards and boots at the mountains? Is a day pass pretty expensive???

Thanks so much!

  1. We have so little snow now, there will be absolutely none left by May. Right now there is only good snow above 2000m. I just came from the other side of Interlaken/Kandersteg and it is fading fast. Bring your hiking boots instead - better luck next year.

  2. During all this winter, we don't have many snow in Switzerland. In May, there isn't more enough snow to board or it's snow of spring, very soft and wet.... In Zurich you can't board. But near Gimmelwald and Interlaken, you have many possibilities to do it. You can also rent all you need to board. A day pass is around Frs. 45.- (about 36.- USD)
