  1. yup, i've been to -25 degrees celsius, which is equal to -13 degrees fahrenheit.

it's fine, really, you just need to:

have a really good thermal (first layer)

have a fleece over that thermal

a hoodie/sweater or another fleece over the first fleece

and of course, a good snowboarding jacket.

and your face will get really cold, so you can actually buy a balaclava or just tie a scarfy handkerchief thingy, but make sure it covers your cheeks.

and of course, you need thermal pants as well, with snowpants.

    and quite obviously, a hat/helmet.

and goood gloves. for really cold temperatures, try a small, thin pair of gloves and another one of them, the really good snowproof pair, over the thin ones.

you'll be just fine, as long as you keep nice and warm, which isn't too hard!

  2. Sounds cold, probably hurts a lot more when you fall.

  3. Chair lift rides suck when it's that cold. I don't usually go when the temp is below 10. I went on Monday when it was about 3 degrees out, and left after an hour (my new mittens suck). My only tip is to dress as warm as possible. A few layers under your jacket for sure. Good socks. Good mittens. And make sure you wear a gaitor or scarf.

  4. rug up :) wear jackets and pants gore-tex in it, keeps you completely waterproof and blocks out the wind :)
