Snowboarding near san francisco?

kay thing is my dad's got a conference in san francisco some time next winter, we're coming with him

i live in switzerland and live for the shred

which is why i desperately want to check out the powder in the US. i mean, i should snowboard in the country i was born in sooner or later.

so, basically, the thing is, i'm too lazy to take out a map. where's the nearest mountain to san francisco???

and i don't mean a pile of gravel with fake snow. i mean MOUNTAIN.

send me on an eight hour trip if you must.

i'm going, goddammit.

if you want powder go to to tahoe or mammoth mountain (they have a sick park too)
