  1. Hey. im 13 and a girl.

I have been skiing for about 4 years, and i to have always wanted to go snowboarding.

so i chose to snowboard this season and am in absolute love with it. it took a couple of days to get used to it, but my younger brother leaned on the 1 day.

the first days can be tough but its totally worth it.

  2. tim is exactly right, snowboarding is quite painful for the first week or so but if you stick with it is way funner. best of all it is at least 10x funner in powder

  3. snowboarding because skiiing is for f**s and nothing more that and they all ways get in your way there nothing more than 2 plankers

  4. First off "funner" isnt even a word lol.

And try both of them.  There's no way we can answer this question for you so dont listen to people who tell you to do one or the other.  Give them both a shot and decide for yourself.  Definitely go at least 3-4 times snowboarding, because it gets better each time, adn then decide which you like better.  And no one ever said you cant do both.

  5. i have seen skiers that switched to snowboarding, but never see a snowboarder switch to skiing.

snowboarding. all the cool skiers are doin it. haha

skiing is for rich old dudes, and f**s, no offense

yea its gunna suck ur first time but if you stick with it is is awesome

  6. if you really want to snowboard, then try it. if you like it, then good! if you dont then you can always go back to skiing

  7. If you want to board do it up!  The first day is filled with falls and can be frustrating but after a few days it's so much fun.

Go get a lesson and spend a day learning to snowboard :)

  8. do wat ever 1 Seam's better

  9. I've had this problem :)

Take a lesson at snowboarding on the day.

You'll fall a lot and want to quit, but you'll learn the basics. I would recommend trying to snowboard

  10. I started skiing when I was six years old.  I went every year and loved it.  When I was a freshman in high school I tried snowboarding for the first time.  I am 30 years old this year and haven't skied one time since I started snowboarding because I enjoy snowboarding so much.  The first time is always painful.  My suggestion is to try snowboarding, but do NOT expect to be very good at it.  Spend about an hour stretching before and after you try it.  Once you learn how to turn and stop without wrecking you will understand what "true love" really is.

  11. give snowboarding a shot. try to go with people who know how to or atleast get like a 1hr lesson. if you try to by yourself it may not be pretty. the morning will be rough cause you'll most likely spend a lot of the time on your but or knees. maybe invest in some wrist guards. snowboarding and skiing are completely different. i started skiing 12 years ago and switched over to my board 6 years ago. there's no comparison. i skiied recently just for the h**l of it but i found that i was getting bored on the hills. snowboarding is great, just dont get discouraged your first time around because you cant make it all the way down the hill without falling.

  12. if you have a season pass, and are planning on going multiple times, then you could probably be safe in learning how to snowboard. but if you are only going on one day, then i would definatly ski if you want to enjoy yourself! snowboarding is very hard to pick up in just a day, as skiing is.

    Have Fun!
