  1. Snowboarding cuz skiing is lame and for yuppies unless you do freestyle

  2. I have been a skier most of my life and it is very fun, and fairly easy to pick up.  I tried snowboarding out about 4 years ago, and the first day I tried it I hated it , and said I would never do it again (I was very bad).  My pride got the best of me, though, so I gave it another shot a few days later.  I loved it, and I haven't been skiing once since then.  It was a bit tougher for me to pick up, but I think snowboarding is much more fun than skiing.

  3. snowboarding= harder to learn, easier to master

skiing- easier to learn, harder to master

  4. snowboarding oingo boingo!!!

  5. skiing is much more fun

    i know from experience

ive been skiing for 21 years, since i was 5

ive tried snowboarding and its hard at first and takes a loong ttime to get good at

skiing is your best bet because i knowfrom expereince

  6. Snowboarding if you are willing to go through h**l. And you may not be able to have that much fun becase you will be sore the whole day and weeks to come. But if you keep going I hear it is rewarding.

Skiing is easier to learn, you won't fall as much and you will be able to enjoy more of the views, because you won't be on the bunny hills all day.

  7. ive done both, and i love then both. I would start with skiing, because it is much easier. But snowboarding is more fun, it takes time and practice, but its a better ride.

  8. Skiing is easier but snowboarding is funner. =p

  9. The learning curve is much steeper in snowboarding.  That is, you'll become proficient much faster at snowboarding than you would at skiing.

To some this seems counter-intuitive, but you are dealing with two edges in snowboarding compared to four in skiing, no poles, more comfortable boots, etc.

To determine which stance is appropriate for you, regular or goofy, have someone push you from behind.  Whichever foot you "catch" yourself with should be your front foot.

Two tips for snowboarding: Keep your knees bent and keep your weight over your front foot.
