  1. try buying right after the end of season and go with a few year old board it almost as nice as the new one but a h**l of a lot cheaper. i got a brand new palmer that rides amazing at the end of last season for 75 bucks and my got almost the same board a year earlier for nearly 400!

  2. first of all, im a sponsored snowboarder.  and NEVER EVER EVER EVER buy snowboard equiptment from a sporting good store. they sell you c**p. the best time to buy is in the summer. the early summer and at a ski shop. they will have all of last years gear, and cheap. if its your first board, dont buy it online, you need to see the board and know what your getting.

  3. the best time of year would be the spring when the stores are clearing out there 07' and 08' winter stock, stuff will be on sale. for the prices it all depends on the board. mine was a 4 year old burton that was a little beat up and i got it for $125 but that was pretty cheap. you could spend anywhere from $200 to $800 on a brand new board but if you buying a used board dont spend more that $300 but thats if its in good condition.

  4. I agree. Best time is spring. Here's a couple good sites to check out too.

    www.backcountry.com

    www.dogfunk.com

And pretty much any sporting goods store.
