  1. For sure! If you can skate good, trust me I know that skating def. helps with snowboarding. Try it out, you will be good... I was :)

  2. Skateboarders tend to catch on quicker than people who have never done anything like it but don't except anything to great in the beginning! For tips just bend your knees and ease into your turns. It helps to bring your knees out to get a better dig into the snow.

  3. I don't think its the same since in snowboarding you actually have straps on your feet.

  4. I have seen a blog just recently with all kinds of great snowboarding items like clothing, boots, and gear I also seen free video on there too for skiing and snow boarding it's a must see site just look around it's mixed in all the posts you'll see it it's enlarged text for the free videos, and regional conditions

  5. The two are similar, but snowboarding is closer to wakeboarding or surfing.  You will catch on quicker since you skate.  It should take you a few hours to get down the basics.

You steer with your back foot in snowboarding and ride the edges.  Motions in showboarding are greater since you have a  bigger board.  You can't bail since you are strapped in.  Expect to fall.

  6. i do both and trust me they are completely different. but i snowboarded before i started skating and my friends were mad i caught onto skating faster then them. the reason is if you do one or the other it has already taught your body a new way of using your legs and ways of balancing. even though these types of boarding are way different it helps to teach your body new ways of using itself
