Snowboarding trouble???

I got a snowboard for Christmas. I have been skiing and water skiing for years, so I thought boarding would be a piece of cake. MISTAKE! I cant seem. To weave side to side going frontwards. Anyone know ho 2 do that?

  1. one of the post sums it up pretty well

    just remember to life up you toes or heels.

    what i mean is (left foot foward)

    when turning left lift up you toes a bit

    turing right life up your heels a bit

    --this prevents the snow from stopping you boarding and then you fall, like i did, and possibly hyperextend you wrist (as i did  :(  ...)

    everything is oppistie with your right foot foward

    turing left - lift up heels

    turing right- life up toes


  2. you have to start off slow.. take lessons. for turns remember not to let the front edge touch or a faceplant will occur.

  3. Move your feet to move the snowboard. Then u need to lean to that side. It is really easy as long as you have good balance.
