  1. buy a snowboard guard because my friend just broke his wrist and he wasnt wearing one

    good luck

  2. You should be fine with that as long as whatever it is built in to provide support won't break easily.  If it's metal that's ideal but if it's plastic you might want to pony up and buy something a little more tough.

  3. Wrist guards aren't worth the money or the looking dorky factor. I  have never used them for 6 years, 4 years of that includes terrain park tricks etc. If your careful until you get the hang of it, you probably won't break your wrists.

  4. yes, u should wear it. i am a hairstylist. my waist is as important as u would need it for bowling. Dakine($20) made the one that i like since it's has got the hard plastic guard on the palm side only. the purpose of the guard is to break the force on ur waist.compare with the kind that has got the hard plastic on both side,  it feel like the double side one would transfer the force to the ur arm instead, that's a very weak part of the arm, may break easy.    i don't think the kind that u have would do much of the purpose.  i am a new snowboarder but been skating for 15 years. never use a guard for skating,  i still fall quite a bit on a snowboard. protect ur waist...
