what happened in 1976 with snowboarding?

There has always been a rivalry between skiiers and snowboarders since snowboarding began (though the rivalry is not as big now as it was then).  Skiiers hated snowboarders and snowboarders hated skiiers.

Burton invented the first ever snowboard in 1976. A lot of resorts did not allow snowboarders and this caused a lot of tension and a big "war" between the mainstream and the rebels.

It was basically sheer ignorance towards something new and exciting.

a lot of skiers dislike us snowboarding and thus creating like a hate agains us. Who knows why some skiers are butt hurt about us. there are those mean skiers that are just stewing cuz were skiing on the same mountain as they are.

well thats when snowboarding became popular and honestly its so true.  I do both activities lmao many joke around with me as being a "traitor".  I started skiing when i was 3 and i dotn find it very entertaining any more because things arent very hard for meand theres no challenge so i so it when i want to relax.  but d**n those snowboarders. theyre so annoying and always in the way.  when im a skier i depise snowboarders lmao its very hypocritical but its so true.

so resulting from my lack of fun i started snowboarding about 2 years ago. i do it when im energetic and im looking for a challenge since i am still working on it.  And i must say i find skirs to be most annoying when im out on the slopes on my board.  so i aboslutely love that quote but hate it at the smae time... haha
