  1. Easy?  Easy is to walk up or to learn to ride a chair lift.  I can't stand surface tows - it's like skating uphill, and just about as much work...

  2. In my area, We are told to put the round seats between our arms so that its in your armpit

  3. The Poma lift (stick w/ round seat) and T-bar are pretty much the same:

    1. Stand in the track in the snow and wait for the bar to come to you.

    2. When the bar is in your hand, push forward with your free foot

    3. Rotate your body so you are facing forward and put the "T" or seat between your legs, hold on and follow the track to the top of the hill

    4. When you get to the top, just lift your free leg and let the "T" or seat pop out - easy!

I don't suggest holding on because often you will get to a steep section and not be able to hold on - why not just put the thing between your legs and relax to the top?

    Good Luck

  4. For a T-Bar just put on part of the T between your legs and ride up. Dont sit down on it though!

  5. The t-bar can take a bit of time to figure out but its pretty easy once you do. I started hanging on to it from behind, but then i got on front of it, held on to the end of the T and the bar that connects to the pully. Just watch other people get on, that helps a lot. It may be frusterating.

  6. for me, i just hang on to the bar and don't put it between my legs.  i think it's hard on the snowboard.  then you just let go and board away at the end.
