Snowboards?? can anyone tell me why there is a piece .....?

... kind of cut out the bottom of a snowboard?

I'll try to explain better, i am just trying to list my x-partners snowboard on Ebay he left it here a few years ago as i am having a clearout, but i have noticed (it isn't broke or anything) it has a curved shape cut out the back of the board then a straight edge, the front is rounded and slightly lifted as like normal boards but i have searched Ebay and the net for one like this one and all i have found are boards that are rounded at both ends??? The one i have is a Oxygen board with the bindings and it says Kr,59 regular, on the topside near the back of the board. I don't know anything about snowboards at all, can anyone out there give me any idea???

sounds like that board was made in the early 90's. you'll never be able to sell that unless there is someone out there who wants to buy it for sentimental reasons.

I think it's a swallow tailed board... not so popular

sounds like a swallow tailed board, or something close to it. they have become less popular over the years but i still see them occasionally especially among racers. you can probably sell it for a bit but im not experienced to know how much... if you just want to get rid of it ill pay for shipping if you send it to me! XP
